In Vnukovo-3 reconstruct the terminal of domestic airlines

The Glavgosexpertiza of Russia reviewed the design documentation and engineering survey results for the reconstruction of the terminal building of the domestic airline and the construction of Pavilion No. 1 at the Business Aviation Center. Based on the results of the state examination, a positive conclusion was issued.

Vnukovo International Airport is one of the largest air transport complexes in Russia. Annually, about 200 thousand flights of Russian and foreign airlines are served at the airport. The route network of the airport covers the entire territory of Russia, as well as neighboring countries, Europe, America, Asia and Africa. In 2019, Vnukovo International Airport broke a historical record and served more than 24 million passengers, which is 11.7% or 2.5 million more than in 2018.

The Vnukovo airport complex with a total area of about 300 thousand square meters. m is able to provide a capacity of up to 35 million passengers per year. Vnukovo International Airport, the only one among the airports of Russia, has a Letter of Gratitude from the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin for the achieved labor successes and high performance in professional activities.

In addition, for three consecutive years Vnukovo Airport was recognized as the best airport in the highest category “International Airport” of the Russian Air Gate national award at the National Civil Aviation Infrastructure Exhibition NAIS.

To serve passengers on domestic flights to Vnukovo, terminal A operates. Design decisions approved by specialists of the Glavgosexpertiza of Russia provide for the organization of a special passenger service sector with an area of ​​1,051 square meters on the territory of the Vnukovo-3 complex. Here it is planned to place an operating room with a registration area and information desk, a baggage check-in area, a first aid room, a departure waiting room combined with an arrival hall, and a cafe. The annual volume of passenger traffic of the special aviation services sector of the Business Aviation Center will be 42,000 people, and the throughput capacity is 40 passengers per hour.

The station square will be reconstructed from the main facade of the building of the special services sector. In addition, a two-story pavilion No. 1 with a total area of 113 square meters will be built here. The building will be intended for the temporary stay of on-duty drivers of special vehicles.

The duration of the work will be 11 months.
