Saudi Arabia’s Civil Aviation Regulator certifies ExecuJet MRO Services to maintain Falcon 900 business jets

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has certified ExecuJet MRO Services’ Dubai facility to carry out maintenance on Dassault Falcon 900B aircraft.

ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East is already certified by GACA to do line and heavy maintenance on aircraft manufactured by other OEM’s, such as Bombardier, Embraer and Hawker. This is the first time GACA has certified it to maintain a Falcon aircraft type.

The approval means the company is permitted to carry out maintenance checks up to and including 12 Months or 800 Flight Hours Inspections for Falcon 900B aircraft on Saudi Arabia’s aircraft registry.

ExecuJet sought GACA certification in response to a customer request, according to Nick Weber, Regional VP Middle East. “We expect to expand the approval to cover ‘C-checks’ and to add approvals for other Falcon aircraft types as they come onto the Saudi registry.

As a Dassault owned facility ExecuJet can carry out work covered under the manufacturer’s warranty coverage and programs, including the popular FalconCare comprehensive maintenance service.

Weber says: “More and more Falcon customers prefer to send their aircraft to a Dassault-owned maintenance, repair and overhaul organisation due to the guaranteed levels of expertise”.

ExecuJet has invested significantly in Dassault tooling to support the Falcon range and sent maintenance personnel to Dassault Aviation in Bordeaux for practical training.
