Metrojet Engineering Clark (MEC), the Philippines based Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) station of Hong Kong-based Metrojet Limited (www.metrojet.com), recently completed their first 12-month inspection on a Bombardier Challenger 350.
The MRO had added the corresponding Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) approval in January 2022.
The 12-month check included the modification of the power source for the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) and Flight Data Recorder (FDR), life raft overhaul, replacement of the fire extinguishers and ice detectors, and additional defect rectification.
“We provided complimentary hangar parking throughout the maintenance event,” commented Mr Sarith Vaikuntan, General Manager of Metrojet Engineering Clark.
“The inspection was completed in 7 weeks under the lead of our own Metrojet trained engineer working alongside another engineer with significant Bombardier product knowledge and previous work experience in the OEM Singapore facility.”
Mr Dave Yip, the new Managing Director, MRO of Metrojet also commented: “We offer our clients an attractive aircraft maintenance and parking alternative in Clark. Metrojet has a long-term vision regarding business sustainability, and we work hard to develop our own people while benefiting from the knowledge and experience of our internationally diverse team.
“In this way, we can provide a sustainable and high-quality level of service to our customers.”
