The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has approved ExecuJet MRO Services Belgium (ExecuJet), Dassault Aviation’s wholly-owned subsidiary, to perform line maintenance and AOG support on Bombardier Global XRS, Global 5000/5500 and Global 6000/6500 aircraft.
“We sought this approval in response to a request from a specific customer as well as recognizing that the fleet of Global series aircraft, both based in Belgium and transient, was sufficient to make it worthwhile adding the approval to our scope,” says Matthijs Hutsebaut, Regional Vice President for Europe at ExecuJet MRO Services. The approval covers the Belgium MRO organisation’s facilities in Brussels and Kortrijk.
ExecuJet MRO Services Belgium is already EASA certified to provide line maintenance and AOG support for various models of Bombardier Challenger aircraft, so this new approval represents an expansion of its coverage for Bombardier aircraft.
Line maintenance services and AOG support involves troubleshooting and defect rectification, minor repairs, component replacement as well as weekly and monthly checks.
ExecuJet MRO Services Belgium has invested in technical publications, tooling and training so it is ready to support line maintenance and AOG services on Global series aircraft.
“Through the day-to-day line maintenance work in Belgium, we will develop customer relationships and hope to be called upon, when needed, to provide AOG support,” Hutsebaut continues. The company already provides AOG support across Europe and Africa for European registered Dassault Falcon and Cessna Citation aircraft.
