EBACE Connect Program Schedule

March 29,2021

The European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) is a premier event and the annual meeting place for the European business aviation community. The exhibition typically brings together business leaders, government officials, manufacturers, flight department personnel, avionics firms, fractional providers, charter/lease companies and all manner of people involved in nearly every aspect of business aviation. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2021 the event will be held virtually as EBACE Connect.

This year at EBACE Connect you’ll still get all the educational content you’d expect from this event, online.

Beyond COVID: Insights from Market Makers and Movers

Business aviation has been hit hard by recent events, yet at the same time has shown its resilience and created new opportunities. COVID and, to a lesser extent, Brexit have made 2020 and 2021 years unlike any other. In some sectors, business aviation welcomed new entrants. Many operations, though, were grounded as a result of travel restrictions. This panel discussion will look into the future and explore how the industry will keep new entrants, if and when travel returns to a pre-pandemic normal; whether advancements in sustainability will attract new entrants who previously shunned business aviation; and other factors that can drive growth in the industry.

Advanced Air Mobility

Advanced air mobility (AAM) incorporates remarkable technological advantages in electric motors, rotors, batteries and flight automation. This technology will become reality within just a few years and will have profound implications for business aviation. Our panel of experts will discuss how AAM will come to be, with a focus on vertiport and air traffic infrastructure requirements and eVTOL aircraft progress.

New technologies are arriving at a higher rate than ever at the desks of the regulators for certification, but how will they fit in a dated safety infrastructure that already has issues dealing with current technologies? How will the existing safety infrastructure be ready to validate these technologies and make them available as commercially viable products? With safety in focus, how can we fulfil public and business interests? Can we use industry-established best practices and safety nets?
