Rosen Aviation, cabin display and technology experts headquartered in Eugene, Oregon, today announced the world’s largest aviation production IFE display, a 97” 4K OLED.
The STC scheduled to conclude later this year for a VIP aircraft includes the development of the large display, and will make Rosen’s 97” OLED the largest ever known to be integrated into an aircraft cabin, measuring over 8 feet in diagonal length.
The industry leaders in display technologies noted that the new ultra-large product was still designed with low weight and sleek packaging in mind, despite the significantly larger panel.
Following on the back of the 48” and 55”, new 42”, 65” and 77” OLED additions announced earlier in 2022, Rosen now offers a complete OLED lineup for all business, VIP and even commercial aviation aircraft starting at 22” through to the new 97”.
Rosen notes that customers are always able to request other custom solutions.
Lee Clark, Senior Vice-President Strategy at Rosen Aviation had this to say: “This project for an undisclosed client has been in the works for some time now, and to see it come to fruition is nothing short of an amazing achievement. We are taking one giant 8-foot step towards closing the gap between what’s available at home and what we can put on an aircraft.”
