North American business aviation flight activity rose rapidly following the Easter holiday weekend. A peak in activity was observed on Monday, April 18 with over 12,000 flights recorded.
Stat of the week: The NASCAR Geico 500 stock car race took place on Sunday, April 24 at the Talladega Superspeedway just outside of Talladega, Alabama. Arrivals into the seven regional airports within 70 miles of the venue saw a 390% increase in flight activity in the week leading up to the race.
