Global fixed wing flight activity is more than three times what it was last April, three weeks into the month, according to WINGX`s weekly Global Market Tracker. Year to date, scheduled airline sectors are still trailing by 29% in 2021 versus 2020, but business aviation aircraft are already 18% busier.

Members of the International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA) closed 211 preowned aircraft sales transactions in the first quarter of 2021, with another 246 aircraft under contract to close in the next few months. The data was included in the Spring 2021 IADA Market Report.

Aero Asset reports that first quarter 2021 retail sales of preowned twin-engine helicopters dropped after two successive strong quarters.

Global business aviation activity this April is 221% up versus April 2020, and 5% down on April 2019, according to WINGX`s weekly Global Market Tracker. Since the start of the year, business jet and prop activity is now 10% up on same period for 2020, 9% behind same period in 2019.

Global business aviation activity this April is more than double April 2020, little surprise given the contrasting phases of the pandemic
