Fractional aircraft flights reached a new record level in 2022, with hours flown growing even more than charter flights or wholly owned flights, according to data from ARGUS TRAQPak. These figures confirm the trend of significant growth across the whole of private aviation in the last two years.

A new survey amongst private equity and venture capital professionals reveals that over the next two years, 88% expect improvements in the regulatory framework for the eVTOL market and 15% anticipate there will be a dramatic improvement. The study was commissioned by Horizon Aircraft (“Company” or “Horizon”), an innovative leader in hybrid electric Vertical Take-off and Landing (VTOL) aerial vehicles, with private equity and venture capital professionals.
The Aircraft Electronics Association released its 2022 year-end Avionics Market Report, and total worldwide business and general aviation avionics sales for the year amounted to $2,877,281,308, or more than $2.8 billion as reported by the participating companies. The dollar amount represented a 21.5% increase in total year-end sales compared to 2021, which is the largest annual percentage increase in the 11-year history of the report.

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) released the 2022 General Aviation Aircraft Shipment and Billing Report during its annual State of the Industry Press Conference. Overall, when compared to 2021, all aircraft segments saw increases in shipments and preliminary aircraft deliveries were valued at $26.8 billion, an increase of 6.0%.
