Fueled in large part by first time buyers, the pre-owned business aircraft market set new records for demand during Q1 2022, resulting in just 3.1% of the active aircraft fleet available for sale, as of March 31, reports the Asset Insight AI2 Market Report.

The bull market for preowned business aircraft continued in the first quarter of 2022 for members of the International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA). They closed 288 deals from January through March, compared to 213 transactions in the same period in 2022, a 35 percent increase.
Business aviation flight activity saw an increase across the board for the first week of April 2022. Each day of the week was up an average of 800 flights from the previous week.
